Sona Mukesh hails from a very poor family of village Ratnakhedi. She is married to Mukesh of village Ratnakhedi . They have 4 children 2 girls and 2 boys. Children go to the government school in the village itself.

They live on daily wage that too is not regular. He has 2.5 acres of dry land and collects 5 quintals of wheat from it. With 5 quintal of wheat 5 members to feed upon. It was indeed a pathetic situation.

During this time, they heard about the NGO CEROWC and the activities. The entertainer Mr. Khemchand went to the village and discussed about the program. He explained every activity in details in 2020. First, he started with SHG and farmers club. Thinking of to find out a means to remove her poverty at home, she too joined the SHG. She had heard of CEROWC and the activities earlier. Hence, she insisted her husband that she too may join the SHG. Later, she joined the SHG and started her deposit.

As days went CEROWC started their program in village Ratnakhedi. CEROWC entertainer explained all the project activities to them in detail. Even though she had financial difficulties at the word of her wife. Mr. Mukesh arranged the money and submitted the Local contribution for the cow. CEROWC contributed our share and thus with help of the purchasing committee they purchased a cow which give 10 liter of milk daily in year 2020. They keep 2 liters of milk at home for use of the family.

Since they had 2.5 acre of dry land, they could not cultivate anything in their field. Near to their field a man of the same village had 5 acres of land and the family of Sona took the land in lease and cultivated the land and together with it they purchased water from the owner for their field too and cultivated their land.

They again shared in deep plough and bunding of the land too with the project. Now the land is prepared and get water. They cultivate the land and get 16-18 quintal of wheat and the residue is use for feeding the cow. They also cultivate the onion and garlic too.

Now the family do not go for daily labor instead they work in their own land and for the cow which gave them Rs 11000/ per month. The children are studying well in the school. The elderly parents are cared well and all are happy and live a peaceful life. Now they have an income from cow 9450, agriculture 30000 and onion and garlic Rs. 40000 total Rs 79450 per year.

Now as the income increased, they try to increase it more & grow more and make good future for their children too.
